We were first registered at the Registrar General’s Department in September 2011 as Zoti
Medical Centre and work started in November 2011. The Centre re-located
to Emmanuel House,Number 2, Okai Laryea Lane, off the main Laterbiokorshie Road and
(in front of the popular Kwame Nkrumah Flats and Antonio Plaza).
The Medical Centre was established as a well-equipped health facility to provide high
quality but affordable care to clients
and patients who need Specialist care in a cool and non-crowded environment. ROBERT MEDICAL
CENTRE is of a Multi-Specialist Hospital status.
There is a full-time experienced Family Physician present. There is also an experienced
Obstetrician / Gynaecologist present who happens to
be a Senior Consultant at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital as well. The General Surgeon comes
in as needed. He is also a Senior Consultant
and a Professor of Surgery at the Korle – Bu Teaching Hospital. Other Specialists are also
invited as necessary. The cardiologist also
comes in from time to time. Anaesthesia for surgical operations is given by qualified
Consultant Anaesthetists.
There are 20 beds and cots present for admissions.
The hospital is well equipped at the various parts. The out – patient department [OPD] is equipped with a patient monitor to help with triaging the patients. The wards are equally well equipped. The air conditioners and fans help keep the place cool. The television sets also help keep the patients well entertained and well informed. The labour ward is equipped with a complete delivery bed which is adapted for use in the first, second and third stages of labour as well as the fourth stage of labour. The operation theatre is a modern theatre with overhead operating light. There is a back-up mobile LED light which can provide 8 hours of un-interruptible light supply when fully charged. There is a general anaesthesia machine present. This is necessary for failed spinal anaesthesia and for those cases that cannot be performed under spinal anaesthesia. The patient monitors with ECG cover are all in position and functioning well.The surgeons use a modern diathermy machine and / or a vessel sealing machine for all operations. This reduces bleeding, operation time and wound problems.

He is an Obstetrician /Gynaecologist, also with vast experience. He holds the Fellowships of the West African College of Surgeons and the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. He has also previously worked at the Hohoe Government Hospital, Peki Government Hospital, the Nkawkaw Holy Family Hospital, the VRA Hospital at Akosombo and the Trust Hospital at Osu. He has experience also in Sheffield [UK], St. Louis [Misouri, USA] and Australia [Queensland]. He holds a Senior Consultant post at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital and the University of Ghana Medical School. He has held various positions such as Vice Dean of Postgraduate Studies of the UG College of Health Sciences and also Chairman of the Faculty of Obstetrics and Gynaecology of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons.
He is a Family Physician with vast experience in Ghana. He holds the Membership of the West African College of Physicians and the Fellowship of the Ghana College of Physicians and Surgeons. He has previously worked in the former Brong-Ahafo Region [Wenchi, Sunyani and Berekum] and at the Ports and Harbours Authority Hospital. He worked as the Medical Superintendent of the Wenchi Methodist Hospital and the Doctor in Charge of the Obstetrics & Gynaecology Unit of the Sunyani Regional Hospital. He also worked as Director of Health Care at the Ghana Ports and Harbours Authority Hospital. He has also worked with the Narh Bita Hospital as a Physician.
He is a highly skilled Professor of Surgery with vast experience in his field. He is a leader in the repair of simple
and complex hernias using the latest MESH TECHNIQUE. He has previously worked at Krachi Government Hospital and the
Komfo-Anokye Teaching Hospital and the United Kingdom. He has been Head of Department of the Department of Surgery,
Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology School of Medical Sciences and the Komfo-Anokye Teaching Hospital in Kumasi.
He is also the current Chairman and Chief Examiner of the Faculty of Surgery, West African College of Surgeons.
She recently retired from the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital as the Head of theatres and Recovery Wards. She had previously headed the Gynaecology theatre. She is a well-trained and skilled midwife and peri-operative nurse.
He has previously worked with Agricultural Development Bank, GCB Bank and Amedzofe Training College.
